About Us
H.O.L.T. Outreach, Inc. is a 501(c) 3 non-profit corporation, located in Montgomery, Alabama, that is devoted to offering education and training in computer technology to socially and economically disadvantaged individuals and communities. HOLT seeks to empower citizens of the community by advancing computer literacy and technology skills to enable self-direction and self-sufficiency. In essence, HOLT is devoted to Helping Others Learn Technology. In addition, HOLT caters to individuals who historically have been left out of the information age; most notably the elderly, minorities, people of low income, and those with disabilities.
MISSION
H.O.L.T. Outreach, Inc. provides training in various areas of technology that will empower the socially and economically disadvantaged in our technology driven society. We foster open partnerships with our constituencies to respond to concerns and needs of those who desire HOLT's help. HOLT’s aim is to increase technology training, improve job skills, and increase self-sufficiency.
VISION
H.O.L.T. envisions itself diversifying into areas of technology that will benefit the overall educational growth, enrichment and opportunities of the socially and economically disadvantaged.
OBJECTIVES
Provide information technology access and training tailored to the needs of individuals and communities to increase participant’s self-efficacy with computers. Implement new and exciting methods to use as a vehicle to offer H.O.L.T.'s services in order to maintain consistency in the interest of the participants.
Gather and utilize the evaluations of H.O.L.T. programs’ participants to analyze the success of H.O.L.T. Outreach, Inc. services and utilize this data for improvement. Develop partnerships to support program development, growth and maintenance.
Offer mentoring and/or counseling to improve participants social, financial, and educational well being.
